Leeds Are Missing Several Key Players for Monday’s Big Game Against Manchester United
Leeds United travel to Manchester United on Monday night, but they’ll be doing it without some important players.
Who Is Injured?

Leeds manager Daniel Farke confirmed three players will definitely not play on Monday:
Joe Rodon, Leeds’ defender hurt his ankle during their FA Cup win over West Ham last weekend. He won’t make it.
Anton Stach, Same story. He also picked up an ankle injury in that same FA Cup game and is out.
Daniel James, this one is especially unfortunate. James didn’t even make it to the West Ham game; he hurt his groin muscle in training the day before. He’s out too.
Who Might Play, But Isn’t Sure Yet?
Three more players are doubtful, meaning the club isn’t sure if they’ll be fit in time:
Jaka Bijol has a knock and hasn’t trained with the full team yet this week.
Noah Okafor is dealing with back problems and also missed team training today.
Gabi Gudmundsson came back from international duty with a groin issue, but is slowly making progress.
Farke said if the game were tomorrow, all three of these players would also miss out. But since they have a bit more time before Monday, he’s hopeful that at least some of them will be ready.
Speaking to the media at Thorp Arch, Daniel Farke offered a further insight into the availability of his squad.
“Not the best news today, in general. Anton Stach will definitely miss the game on Monday due to an ankle injury after the cup game. Also, Joe Rodon will miss the game due to an ankle injury. Daniel James also missed the game. So he had an adductor strain, sadly, just in the session before the cup game, and won’t be available.
“A few more question marks. Jaka Bijol is currently struggling with a knock. He was not in team training yet this week. “Noah Okafor today, not in team training, is struggling with some back problems – also question mark behind his availability.
“Gabi Gudmundsson has made some progress. He came back with some light groin problems after the international games, so he is making light progress.“But all three of them are doubts. So, if you were to play the game already tomorrow, then all three wouldn’t be available. We have a bit more time, and I am hopeful that I have all three of them also ready.”

Why Does This Matter?
Manchester United vs Leeds is one of English football’s biggest rivalries. These two clubs genuinely don’t like each other, so missing players before a game this important is a real headache for Leeds.
Farke will be hoping his injury list doesn’t grow any longer between now and Monday evening.
